The West Australian Rowing Club is a high-performance rowing club with squads catering for all levels of experience.
As a Pathway Partner Club with WAIS, Westies supports elite athletes to achieve State and National team representation.
With ~200 annual members, over 130 of whom actively train and compete, we offer programs and coaching for all rowers.
Westies’ popular Learn to Row courses take 50+ brand-new rowers from the basics to club level rowing every year.
WESTERN AUSTRALIA’S OLDEST ROWING CLUB
Founded in 1868, the WA Rowing Club is one of Australia’s oldest continuously-operating rowing clubs and one of the last remaining ‘floating’ boathouses in the world. The fact it still stands is a testament to generation upon generation of volunteer athletes who have dedicated their time to her upkeep.
WARC houses one of WA's the best fleets of elite-level boats in its lower level, and hosts weddings and events in the refurbished upstairs room with panoramic views of the Swan River.
